How can I bulk import images using image links?

Here’s how to use the Image Import Template to upload multiple product images at once in PIM.

To bulk import product images using hosted image URLs, follow these steps:

  • Go to PIM > Content Resources.

You can see below that these three SKUs do not have images assigned. 

  • Click the Import button near the top-right of the screen.

  • Click Download Template.

This will download a standardized Excel sheet for importing images.

  • Clean up the template. Remove all unnecessary columns and keep only the ones related to image data (e.g., SKU, image URL, sort order, etc.).

Tip: A copy of the template is available here: Image Import Template.

You will need a Microsoft account to download the file.

Warning: Your spreadsheet contents must exactly match what's already in DigitBridge.

Warning: Hyperlinked text will not work (image 1). It must be the complete link URL (image 2).

  • Populate the template with the appropriate data and double-check that all image links are valid.

  • Return to PIM > Content Resources > Import.

  • Upload the completed template file. You'll see it appear beneath the grey box. Click Upload.

Leave the Options the way you see them in the image below (these are the default values).

  • Click Next.

  • Click Submit.

  • Click Go to Import Center to view the import progress. 

  • Refresh until the status changes to Complete.

    Return to Content Resources and check that your images have been successfully imported and are displaying correctly.
