Here is a guide to add customized fields to your DigitBridge pages.
Custom attributes are fields that you can create to record information important to your business operations. There are many different reasons why someone might want custom attributes in DigitBridge, as every business is different. For the purposes of this guide, the terms "field" and "attribute" are used interchangeably.
First, you want to make sure you are in ERP. Go to Admin Tools > Custom Attributes.
You can add custom attributes for customers, products, sales orders, invoices, purchase orders, etc., etc. The process for creating these is the same. For this guide, we will create product attributes. Select Product.
There are four kinds of attributes you can create: Text, Boolean, Select, and Number.
Text
This will create a text box for you to enter in whatever you like. Enter the name of the attribute, select Text from the dropdown under the Type column, enter a Default Value if you'd like it to come pre-filled, and ignore Seq for now.
Boolean
This will create a toggle for you to turn on or off. Enter the name of the attribute, select Boolean from the dropdown under the Type column, enter a Default Value if you'd like it to come pre-toggled either on or off, and ignore Seq for now.
Select
This will create a dropdown for you to select a value. Enter the name of the attribute, select Select from the dropdown under the Type column, then click Add Options in the Option List column.
Type in the first option you want in your dropdown. Click the plus sign to start a new option. Keep adding until you are done. Click the plus sign after your final option, then click OK.
Select a Default Value if you'd like it to come pre-filled and ignore Seq for now.
Number
This will create a text box for you to enter in whatever numerical value you like. Enter the name of the attribute, select Number from the dropdown under the Type column, enter a Default Value if you'd like it to come pre-filled, and ignore Seq for now.
Once you have added all of the attributes you wish, you can determine the sequence in which they will appear on your screen. These are product attributes, so they will appear on the Product Management screen. Enter your preferred order in the Seq column. Click Save.
Click Yes.
Log out and log back in.
Now, let's take a look at your new fields. Remember - these can be added just about anywhere. We're just looking at products because that's where we added our test fields.
Go to Inventory > Product Management.
Find any SKU and click on it to get to the Product Management page. In the General section, click Show More.
At the bottom of the section, you will see your new attributes in the sequential order you set. This image shows them in View mode, but you can change your mode to Edit to enter values in these fields and save your changes.
Tip: If there are certain fields that you wish to add for categorizing purposes, you can use the sort and filter tools to conduct searches using these attributes.
