How do I add channel-specific attributes to products?

Here's a guide on how to enter information that is specifically required by a channel for your product/SKU.

First, in PIM, go to Product Information or Content Resources. Select how you want your data to be displayed: at the Style level, Substyle level, or Product/SKU level. Locate your items then click Search or the magnifying glass icon.

Click on the SKU, Substyle, or Style link under the SKU column.

Check again that you are viewing your product at the right level by hovering over the title in blue. Reminder: 1) is the Style, 2) are the Substyles, and 3) are the SKUs. (for more info, check out this guide on the Style Master dropdown)

Go to the Operation tab for a quick refresher on what channels this Style has been mapped to.

Now, go over to the Channel Attributes tab. You will see expandable lines for each channel listed above.

Enter any filters you want (for more on this, check out this guide about product details and scroll down to Attributes LINK). You can expand the lines one by one by clicking the arrow to the left of the text or clicking Expand All to open up all of the lines.

While many of these channel-specific fields are not required, some of them are. These will be indicated with an asterisk next to them. It is possible to create a group for each set of required channel-specific fields (LINK COMING SOON). These fields must be filled out before you can push your product catalog to this channel.

Temu: required for pants, required for shirts - releasing complex update to dynamically account for this.

Note: When there is an overlap between the information found in ERP (Basic Info) and the channel-specific fields, that information will automatically populate. An example from the above image would be MSRP, as that should be entered in ERP when a new product is created.

To edit these fields, simply hover over them and you will see a pencil icon appear. Click it.

Make your edits, then click the newly visible disc icon. You can also just click anywhere outside of the field, and it will save.

Once you're done, you can push this product Style (or Substyle or SKU) to the channel.
