How do I cancel a sales order in DigitBridge?

Here are the various ways you can cancel a sales order in DigitBridge (depending on the status the order is in).

Depending on where you are at in your order process, there are two different ways to cancel an order. If your order has not been sent to the warehouse yet and is in a status of pending (or if you do not use WMS), you'll cancel the order in ERP. If your order has already been sent to WMS for fulfillment, you'll cancel the order in WMS.

Cancel an order in ERP

In ERP, go to Sales > S/O Management

Use the search filters and click Apply to find your order. Click the order you wish to cancel.

Note: The order should be in a status of Pending. It should not have gone to WMS for fulfillment yet. If it already has, you'll need to initiate the cancellation in WMS.

Complete Order Cancel

Making sure you are in Cancel mode, enter the appropriate Cancel Code. To program custom cancel codes into the system, check out this guide. Click Cancel.

Click Yes.

Your order is now cancelled.

Warning: You cannot undo this action.

Partial Order Cancel

Go to Edit mode. Enter values in the Cancelled column for the items you wish to cancel in the order. You will see the values in the Open column of the same row will update accordingly.

If you'd like to keep a record of the reasons for these calculations, click the plus sign next to the SKU.

Click Show More.

Select the appropriate Cancel Code (and adjust the Cancel Qty if you haven't entered it already). You can also Delete the item - that is an operational decision.

Click Save.

Click Yes.

Cancel an order in WMS

You can do this in two places: from the View Orders screen and from the Shipments screen.

Note: These instructions are for complete cancellations. To do a partial cancellation, you'll need to abandon the order and make the changes that way - then send it back to WMS for fulfillment.

Cancel an order in the View Orders screen

First, in WMS, go to Sales Order > View Orders. Use the search filters to find your order and click on either the Channel Order ID or the Fulfillment Order ID.

Note: If you don't see your search result, check the Enter Date filter to make sure the date range is set correctly and isn't excluding your orders.

This will open the Order Details page. To cancel an order, hover over the three dots on the right of the window and click Cancel Order

Enter a reason for the cancellation. Click Yes.

Warning: You cannot undo this action.

The order is now cancelled in WMS - but there is one more step.

Back on the Sales Order Management screen in ERP, go to Cancel mode. Normally, orders in a status of Processing cannot use this mode, but because you have initiated the cancellation in WMS, this option is now available to you. Enter a Cancel Code and click Cancel.

Click Yes.

Your order is now completely cancelled.

Warning: You cannot undo this action.

Cancel an order in the Shipments screen

In WMS, go to Sales Orders > Shipments. Use the search filters to find the order you wish to cancel.

Click the gear icon to the right of the order row (under the Action Header) and click Mark Shipped & Cancel & Hold.

Navigate to the Cancel Shipment tab and click Cancel Shipment

Enter a reason for the cancellation and click Yes.
