How do I create Prepack SKUs?
Here you will learn how to create Prepack SKUs within the ERP module.
Adding a new product should always take place in the ERP module.
When you want to add a new product, you’ll go to the left-hand menu bar and click Inventory > Create Products. If you want to create a non-inventory product (e.g., a supply or service), you will not do that here. Learn how to do this in this user guide.
There are three different ways to create a product on this screen: Add Style Master / Children, Add Product SKUs, and Add Prepack SKUs. We'll tackle Add Prepack SKUs in this article. Please note - when creating a Prepack, the Style, Substyles, and SKUs must be created ahead of time.
You'll also need to make sure the Prepack Code has been created and associated with the Style(s) of your choosing before you move forward with the steps of this guide.
Once the products have been created, select Prepack, then click Next at the bottom right of the page.
Create Style Info
- Style: type or search for (using the magnifying glass icon) the Style code you want to use for your Prepack. Hit the Tab key.
- Product Name will populate when you hit the Tab key.
- Product Description will populate when you hit the Tab key.
- Class will populate when you hit the Tab key.
- Click Next.
Input Sub-Style Info
All fields will automatically be filled out except for the Substyle field. Type or search for (using the magnifying glass icon) the Substyle codes you want to include in your Prepack. Click Next.
Select Prepack
Select the Prepack Code from the dropdown menu. Click Next.
Edit/Review
Take a look at the SKUs and Substyles. The SKU will be the Substyle code with an added dash and the Prepack Code you've chosen. If this looks correct, click Next.
Generate SKUs
Click Generate.
Your SKUs have successfully been generated as clickable links.
Now that they've been created, it's time to set quantities. Check out this related guide: How do I manage Prepack SKUs?
