How do I delete an item in ERP?

Here are instructions for the best way to completely delete an item or product from the inventory in ERP.

The best practice would be - rather than deleting - to change the status of an item to Inactive (so you have access to both the product and product history) in the future. However, if you are absolutely sure that you do not need this product anymore (or it was created in error), you can delete it. While it is possible to delete an item in WMS, it is better to do it in ERP. 

To do this, in ERP, go to Inventory > Product Management. Click Apply to see all products or use the search and filter tools to refine your results. 

Warning: There are certain restrictions to bear in mind. Only a product that has an In-Stock Qty of 0 and no open S/Os or P/Os can be deleted. If you try to delete something that doesn't meet these requirements, you will see the following error:

With that in mind, click the SKU you want to delete. From the Inventory Management screen, make sure you are in Delete Mode.

Click the Delete button that has appeared in the upper right-hand corner.

Warning: This is a permanent action that cannot be undone and will remove all history for that product/item.

To proceed, click Yes.
