How do I manually adjust inventory? (WMS)
Here is a guide to manually adding, removing, or otherwise adjusting inventory in the Warehouse Management System Module.
Typically, all inventory adjustments will come in the form of shipments going out, P/Os (Purchase Orders) coming in, returns coming in, and so on. However, there are always situations that might arise requiring a manual adjustment of stock quantity. Luckily, this is very easy to do.
First, in WMS, go to Inventory > Search on the left-hand side. Select your warehouse and key in or scroll to find the item you wish to adjust using the search by parameter of your choosing (e.g., SKU starts with). Click Search. If you don't see what you're looking for in the search result, try unselecting Hide Zero Quantity Item.
You can also accomplish this by going to Inventory > Audit on the left-hand sidebar. Select your warehouse and key in or scroll to find the location of the item you wish to adjust. To find out where an item is located, use this user guide. Set your Search Type and enter a Search Value, or just click the Search icon to see everything in the location.
Whether you use the Search or Audit sub-headers, the rest of the instructions are the same.
In the Quantity column, click the pencil icon.
To Add items, select Add and enter the amount you are adding. For the Reason, select Adjustment. Click Update.
To Remove items, select Remove and enter the amount you are removing. For the Reason, select Adjustment. Click Update.
To input a New Total, select New Total and enter the new total quantity for that item. For the Reason, select Adjustment. Click Update.
You will get a small notification letting you know that your update was successful.
