How do I merge product from different locations?

Here you will find details on how to merge items from one location to another and merge the contents of one container with another.

There are two ways to merge product: via the Inventory page (recommended if you are on a desktop or laptop) or via the Smart screen (recommended if you are using a mobile scanner and not near a computer). Both of these will be in WMS.

Inventory Page (on a computer)

The first step for all of these options will be the same. In WMS, on the left-hand sidebar, go to Inventory > Move/Merge.

Merging all products from one location to another

You will take this action if you want to combine all of the products in one location (going forward in this guide, "location" will refer to a location or a container) with another, removing all contents from the source location. 

Select I want to: Merge all products from one location to another

Select the location from which you want to merge the items. Then, select the destination location. Click Submit.

You will see a notification pop up in the upper right-hand corner alerting you that the merge was successful.

The source location still exists but is now empty.

Smart Screen (on a mobile)

The first thing you'll do in WMS is go to Sales Order > Smart.

Click Move & Merge.

Click Merge all products from one location to another.

Scan your source location barcode. You can type the location as well, but for the purpose of this guide, we will assume the user is working with a mobile scanner. Click More Action > Go Back to navigate to the previous screen.

Scan your destination location barcode. Click More Action > Go Back to navigate to the previous screen.

Your merge is complete - all the items in your source location are now in your destination location. You can scan a new location to initiate a new merge or tap/click Next Merge.
