How do I move product from one location to another using a computer?

There are many occasions in which you might want to move stock from one place to another. This guide is for doing so on a device with a keyboard. If you want to use a mobile device/cell phone, check out this guide.

You can either move specific items from a location to another location or move all of the items in a location to another location. The first step for both of these actions will be the same. On the left-hand sidebar, go to Inventory > Move/Merge.

Moving items from one location (container) to another

Select I want to: Move product from one location (container) to another. 

Input, scan, or search for the SKU you want to move. Enter the Quantity and the item's current location. Under Destination, enter the location you want to move the item to. Click Submit.

If you don't have enough stock, you will not be able to complete the move.

If all requirements are met, you will get a notification in the upper right letting you know the move was successful.

Moving containers to a new location (container)

Select I want to: Move a container to a new location (container). 

Type in the location or container you want to move. Then type in its destination. Click Submit.

This will move all items and products in the original location or container into the new one - essentially erasing the old container and transferring all of its stock to the new one.
