How do I put a hold on an order in DigitBridge?

Here are the various ways you can put a sales order on hold in DigitBridge (depending on the status the order is in).

Depending on where you are at in your order process, there are two different ways to hold an order. If your order has not been sent to the warehouse yet and is in a status of pending (or if you do not use WMS), you'll put a hold on the order in ERP. If your order has already been sent to WMS for fulfillment, you'll put a hold on the order in WMS.

Hold an order in ERP

In ERP, go to Sales > S/O Management

Use the search filters and click Apply to find your order. Click the order you wish to hold.

Note: The order should be in a status of Pending. It should not have gone to WMS for fulfillment yet. If it already has, you'll need to initiate the hold in WMS.

Making sure you are in Edit mode, change the status to Hold. Click Save.

Click Yes.

When you are ready to release the hold and ship the order, go back to the sales order management page and - in Edit mode - change the status to Ready to Ship. Click Save.

Click Yes.

Hold an order in WMS

You can do this in two places: from the View Orders screen and from the Shipments screen.

Hold an order in the View Orders screen

First, in WMS, go to Sales Order > View Orders. Use the search filters to find your order and click on either the Channel Order ID or the Fulfillment Order ID.

Note: If you don't see your search result, check the Enter Date filter to make sure the date range is set correctly and isn't excluding your orders.

This will open the Order Details page. To hold an order, click Hold

Enter a reason for the hold. Click Yes.

The order is now on hold. To release it, simply get to the details page and click Unhold.

Enter the reason for the release and click Yes.

Your order is again ready to process.

Hold an order in the Shipments screen

In WMS, go to Sales Orders > Shipments. Use the search filters to find the order you wish to hold.

Click the gear icon to the right of the order row (under the Action Header) and click Mark Shipped & Cancel & Hold.

Navigate to the Hold / Unhold Shipment tab and click Hold Shipment

Enter a reason for the hold and click Yes.

Navigate back to that screen and click Unhold Shipment.

Enter the reason for the hold release and click yes.

Your order is again ready to process.
