How do I search using .csv data?
Here's where you can use the search functionality by pasting in comma separated values from an Excel or other spreadsheet into DigitBridge.
There are many reasons you might use this particular feature. For the purposes of this user guide, let us assume you have a spreadsheet with Channel Order ID numbers and you want to quickly find the corresponding Invoices (but they aren't on your spreadsheet). Luckily, there's an easy way to make this happen.
Select the cells you want to search by (in this case, the Channel Order IDs). Please note that you cannot include the header of a column when you copy the cells. Either right-click > Copy or use keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Command + C to Copy the cells.
Back in DigitBridge, set the Search by parameters to Channel Order ID. Right-click in the search field and click Paste. Please note that the keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Command + V will not work here as it will not include commas (and you need them).
Click Apply. Your Invoices will now appear in the list.
You will note that there were 20 cells selected in Excel but only five invoices appeared. That is because there were repeat numbers within the cells and from those 20, there were five unique IDs. The system recognizes this and returns the necessary records.
