How do I set minimum stock levels for Styles, Substyles, and SKUs?

Here is a guide on how to set your minimum inventory level for your products.

Setting minimum stock levels in your inventory management will help you from running out of popular items (as well as keep you from over-ordering less popular ones). Setting these levels is easy. In ERP, go to Inventory > Style Master Management.

Note: We're going to start here because it can be more efficient to set levels at the Style level so you're it will apply to several items at a time.

Search for the Style you want to set levels for. Click Apply.

Switch to Edit mode.

In the Product Detail tab, under Other Settings, you will see Min Stock. Enter your desired minimum stock value here.

Click Save.

Click Yes.

Tip: Using the Style Master instructions above, you can also set minimum stock levels at the Substyle level. It depends on what you want the levels to be.

Let's say that one particular SKU sells better than the others of a Style or Substyle and you want to set a higher minimum stock level. To do that from the Style Master Management page, go to the Children tab. Expand the Substyle row. Click on the SKU in question.

This will take you to the Inventory Management page for this individual SKU. In the Product Detail tab under Other Settings (the same place you'll find it in Style Master Management), you will see the minimum stock (Min Stock) level that was saved at the Style level.

Change over to Edit mode.

Adjust the Min Stock to your preference.

Click Save.

Click Yes.

Your new minimum stock has been saved. You can also adjust this at the SKU level by going to Inventory > Product Management instead of Style Master. Search for the SKU you wish to adjust and do so. See guide: How do I edit SKUs/individual products?
