How do I start and finish in-house processes?
Managing internal production steps within a WIP job
In-house processes are manufacturing steps that are performed internally, rather than by external vendors. In DigitBridge, you can start, update, and complete these processes directly from the WIP job.
Where to Start In-House Processes
Navigate to ERP > Manufacturing > WIP and select the WIP job you want to work on. In the Processes tab, in-house production steps will be listed by type.
To start them:
-
Click Action > Start In-House Process
-
This updates the status of each in-house step to "Started" and makes them eligible for material picking and completion tracking
Alternatively, use Action > Start All Processes to include both in-house and outsourced steps.
Picking Materials
Once the in-house steps are started, materials need to be picked:
-
Click Action > Pick Material
-
Select the materials required for each step (this may also be automated depending on settings)
Tip: Ensure raw materials are available in the assigned Material Warehouse before picking.
Updating Completion
To track progress:
-
Use Action > Update In-House Finish Quantity
-
Enter the quantity completed for each process step
This allows real-time progress monitoring and feeds into the overall WIP completion calculation.
Finishing In-House Processes
Once all quantities are completed:
-
Click Action > Finish All Processes
-
This will mark both in-house and outsourced steps as complete if applicable
