How do I use Case Packs when ordering?

Here's how you can use Case Packs in a Sales Order.

It's easy to enter a Case Pack into a Sales Order (S/O). Let's get started.

Sales Order

First, go to Sales Order > S/O Management in ERP.

Click Add.

Enter the Customer #. You'll notice under Lines, before adding an item, under Case Pack the default value will be EACH (1), meaning one individual unit of that SKU.

Once you add an item, if no case pack settings have been assigned to that style, the Case Pack field will remain EACH (1).

If there are no case pack settings, there will not be an option to adjust the Case Pack value manually.

For items with case pack settings, there are three ways to enter info: Line by Line, Paste from Excel, or Style Master.

Line by Line

For items of a Style with case pack settings applied, the Case Pack value will automatically adjust accordingly as you enter your SKUs. Enter the number of cases in the Order UT column.

Caution: As seen in the image above, the Order UT ("Order Units") refers to the quantity of packs rather than the total quantity of items being sent. Make sure you enter the quantity of cases being ordered.

In the above example:

For the first line, the customer is ordering three packs of 24 for 72 total. Therefore, the Order UT column value is 3, not 72.

Go to the next step.

Paste from Excel

You can also copy and paste from Excel, Google Sheets, or another spreadsheet software. Just make sure you include the column headers for SKU and Order UT (at a minimum).

Right-click anywhere in the grid beneath the Lines tab. Click Paste From Excel - Append Grid.

The Case Pack value will automatically update based on the settings assigned to that Style.

Go to the next step.

Style Master

Click Style Master while on the Lines Tab.

Enter the Style. Enter the total quantity of individual units ordered.

Warning: At this time, case units are not available within the Style Master Matrix. If an order contains three cases of 24, you must enter 72 in the Order field.

Click Apply, then click Close.

You will notice the system has translated the total individual units into number of cases.

Go to the next step.

Click Save.

Click Yes.
