How do I use the Private Label tool?

If you offer Private Label services, here's how to mark your sales orders in order to track them.

Settings

The first thing you will want to do is enable Private Label tagging in your settings. From the ERP module, go to Admin Tools > System Settings > System Code Entry.

Scroll to the bottom of the System Code menu and select Private Label.

Next, type in the name you want to see in your Private Label dropdown. For example - the customer's name or various brand names. Add as many of these as you need by clicking the Add Line button. When you are finished, click Save.

Click Yes.

Sales Order Management

Now that the feature is available to use, here is how it works with sales orders. First, follow the steps to create a new sales order. From the Sales Order Management screen, click Show More.

In the newly visible fields, you will see Private Label. Click the field and select from the dropdown menu the desired name. Complete creation of the sales order.

Caution: The order must be in a status of Pending for this to work. If it is not, you'll have to abandon the order, make the adjustments in ERP, then resend to WMS.

Sales Order List/Reporting

If you want to create a quick report of all Private Label orders, go back to the Sales Order List screen and click Apply. Hovering over any column heading, you will see three horizontal lines. Click them. Next to Columns, scroll down to Private Label and make sure it has been selected if it isn't already. Now, Private Label will have its own column you can sort by. Drag it to where you want it. Make sure to save your new grid view (instructions for all of this can be found in this user guide).

Also, using the filter tools, you can elect to only view sales orders with Private Label tags. Click More Filter. In the side menu that appears, scroll down near the bottom. Click into the field Private Label and select which tag(s) you want to see. Click Apply. Using the instructions in the above-linked user guide for filters, you can save this filter view.

Tip: Make sure you do this if you want to avoid repeating this work in the future.

Invoices

All of the above functionality also applies to Invoices: individual invoices, sorting in the list screen, and creating filters for reporting.
