Manufacturing
What actions can I take from the WIP screen?
Managing production directly from your Work in Progress job.
The WIP screen in DigitBridge isn’t just for viewing—it also provides access to powerful actions that move production forward. These actions allow you to initiate, update, and complete different manufacturing steps directly within each job.
Where to Find WIP Actions
Navigate to ERP > Manufacturing > WIP, select a WIP job, and click the Action dropdown at the top of the screen. You'll see a list of available options based on the current state of the WIP.
Available WIP Actions
Start All Processes
Begin every process (in-house and outsourced) listed in the WIP.
Use this at the start of production.
Start In-House Process
Initiates only the in-house production steps.
Ideal if you're starting internal processes but holding off on outsourced ones.
Pick Material
Begin picking materials needed for in-house production.
You can pick per process or all at once, depending on setup.
Create Outsource PO
Generates a Purchase Order for any outsourced processes in the WIP.
Only visible if outsourced steps exist.
Update In-House Finish Quantity
Manually update the number of units completed for in-house steps.
Useful for partial progress or staggered completion.
Finish All Processes
Marks every process (in-house and outsourced) as completed.
Only use this once everything is actually done.
Finish Goods Yield
The final step—this completes the WIP and moves finished inventory into your designated warehouse.
Triggers inventory updates and finalizes the WIP job.
Duplicate WIP
Creates a new WIP based on the selected one.
Helpful for recurring production jobs.
Tip: These same actions can be accessed from the main Manufacturing menu as separate functions, depending on your workflow preferences.
