What are product tags and how do I use them in ERP?

Here is how you use tags to group, filter, and organize your products for easier searching and inventory control.

Tags in DigitBridge ERP are customizable labels you can apply to products to help you categorize, filter, and manage your inventory more effectively. Unlike fixed categories like Style or Substyle, tags are flexible—you can define and apply them however you want, based on your business needs.


Why use tags?

Tags give you a way to group products across different styles, warehouses, or business types without having to restructure your data. They're especially helpful when:

  • You want to flag a group of items for seasonal campaigns (e.g., Holiday 2025, Spring Launch, Clearance)

  • You need to identify new SKUs added for a particular customer or dropship partner

  • You want to track items eligible for promotions, sample kits, or influencer sends

  • You have different inventory planning rules for certain product types (e.g., Made to Order, Core Collection, Retiring Soon)

  • You're organizing items across warehouses (e.g., NYC Stockroom, LA Showroom)

  • You want to use internal markers without creating new custom fields

Note: This is very similar to the capabilities of Custom Attributes, which is another option you have for classification.
