What do the tabs in a WIP mean?

Understanding the structure of a Work in Progress job

Each Work in Progress (WIP) job in DigitBridge contains multiple tabs that organize the essential information needed to track, manage, and complete production. Here's what each tab does and how to use it.

Job Info

This is the main setup tab where you define the overall structure of the WIP.

  • WIP Job Number: Unique identifier for the job

  • Customer # (optional): Use if this job is tied to a customer order

  • Description: Short label for internal use

  • Type: SKU BOM, Substyle BOM, Style BOM, or Master BOM

  • Schedule: Enter start date, due date, and estimated timelines

  • Progress Rate & Adjustment Rate: Used to reflect real-time progress and planning adjustments

  • Work Hours & Estimated Work Hours: Useful for labor planning and tracking

  • Factory / Warehouses: Assign the correct factory and supporting warehouses (product, material, and semi)

Finished Goods

List the SKUs this WIP job is producing.

  • SKU: The product(s) being manufactured

  • BOM #: BOM assigned to that SKU

  • WIP Qty: Quantity being produced

  • You can add multiple lines here if you’re manufacturing multiple SKUs as part of the same WIP

Processes

Lists all the production steps tied to each BOM.

  • Automatically populated based on the BOMs assigned to Finished Goods

  • Each process includes its type, SKU, quantity, and related notes

  • If producing multiple SKUs, you’ll see all associated processes combined here

Raw Material

View the full list of materials required to complete the job.

  • Compiled from the BOMs of all listed SKUs

  • Includes material SKUs, quantities, and sources

  • Updated dynamically as you add or change SKUs or processes

Activity

Tracks progress and links related actions.

  • View real-time updates on job steps, materials picked, POs created, and completion events

  • Helps ensure transparency throughout the production lifecycle

  • Ideal for reviewing what has been started, finished, or modified

Tip: Use the Recalculate button at the top of the WIP screen to update progress and dependencies based on actions taken.
