How do I view or edit a Sales Order?

Everything you need to know about viewing and editing Sales Orders.

In order to manage your Sales Orders (S/Os), you will need to, on the left-hand menu bar, click Sales > S/O Management.

This will bring you to the S/O list screen. Here, you can search by S/O # (or Channel #, Customer #, Ref #, etc.), add a new S/O, or view all existing S/Os by clicking Apply. 

Once you click apply (or search by specific S/O #) and see them appear, you can click on the S/O number to get to the Sales Order Management screen. Here, you can View, Add, Edit, Delete, or Cancel S/Os.

You will notice that if you are viewing a S/O in the status of Processing, you may not make any edits to it. In the image below, Edit is not even available to select as a process mode.

The only status in which you can make edits is Pending. S/Os are only editable prior to being sent to the warehouse for fulfillment.

You cannot edit a S/O that: 

  • Has been sent to WMS
  • Has a related Pick Ticket
  • Has a related Purchase Order
  • Comes from a POS preorder
  • Has been approved (for more on S/O approvals, check out this guide)

To edit an order such as this, you will need to abandon its fulfillment, make the changes to the order, and then send it back to the warehouse to complete fulfillment.

Once in Edit Mode with a S/O that is Pending, you can now many any edits you like.
